Bidshot and Ebay.ph

There are two prominent sites where Philippine residents buy and sell online. These are Bidshot and Ebay.ph.

All types of products can be sold by anyone for free, including copyrighted products like ebooks, CDs and software. Payment is mostly through bank deposit or giving it personally when you claim the item you bought.

I made a friend through Bidshot. Nancy’s main busines is garments/textile in the divisoria area and she dabbles in pre-owned books on the side. She tells me that Bidshot gives her more business that Ebay.ph.

I’ve been wondering if there are individuals who have made Bidshot or Ebay.ph their sole source of revenue. Unlike eBay, these two have a limited market, online payment is virtually non-existent (no Paypal in the Philippines yet) and regulation is minimal.

But I hope I would be proven wrong. Now if possible.
